a freelance artist with her own art studio Paula’s Palette. She holds a BFA
degree from Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in Graphic Design and
Illustration, with graduate course-work in printmaking from the

. Paula has taught art at the

Art Museum

. Paula is the Secretary of the Board, the Executive Programming Administrator
and Facility Director for
North
Shore
Academy
of the Arts. She was recently voted among the 75 most influential women in the
Milwaukee
art scene by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Her artwork can be viewed
throughout the
Midwest
. She has been commissioned to do both private and public installations.

Personal History:
I was born and raised in Gillette, Wyoming. I am currently employed full-time at
The News-Record as a Senior Ad Designer & Computer Technician; I also help
create graphic illustrations for editorial articles as needed. I have a
Bachelors of Art in Fine Art from the University of Wyoming, 1993.
Artist Statement:
As a graphic designer my work represents the client's vision. As an artist my
inspiration comes from the spirit that is Wyoming. A concept of determination,
hard work and the freedom to explore the wide open space that has been a legacy
from our western heritage. As of late my themes have been masks and their
ability to change emotions and relationships to the human condition. My typical
medium is airbrush, but I also like oils and pencil drawing. I let the subject
matter and painting style dictate the medium I use.
